Big Max and the Mystery of the Missing Giraffe

어느 날, Big Max의 집으로 전화가 걸려온다. King Punchapillow는  Jake라는 기린을 잃어버려서 Big Max에게 의뢰한다. 사건 현장에 도착한 Big Max는 처음에는 우리를 살펴본다. 우리에서 특별한 단서를 찾지 못한 그는 우리 밖에서 큰 발자국을 발견한다. Big Max는 그 발자국이 기린의 것이라고 생각하지만 실은 하마의 것이었다. 그리고 계속 길을 가던 중에 왕과 Big Max는 울부짖는 소리를 듣고, 땅이 흔들리는 것을 느낀다. 처음에는 지진인줄 알았지만 이내 기린들이 편을 나누어 축구를 하는 소리인 것을 깨닫는다. 그 무리에서 Big Max는 Jake를 찾는다. Big Max는 왕에게 Jake는 우리 밖에 있던 고무 나무를 세게 잡아 당겨서 그 힘으로 발자국을 남기지 않고 숲까지 올 수 있었다고 이야기 한다. 왕은 Jake가 축구를 그렇게 좋아하는 몰랐다며 이제부터는 축구를 하게 해주겠다고 약속한다.

Jake reached over the wall to chew the rubber tree leaves. Rubber stretches. It also snaps back. It is like pulling on a rubber band. Jake would pull down a mouthful of the leaves. They would stretch back. The harder Jake pulled, the harder they stretched back. Finally, Jake pulled too hard. The leaves and the rubber branches pulled back twice as hard. They pulled Jake over the wall.

 

 The telephone buzzed.

“Is this Big Max, the world’s greatest detective?” a voice said.

“Who’s calling, please?”

 

“It is near some trees,” the king said.

“What else is it near?” asked Big Max.

 

What airline are you taking?

I fly by umbrella.

 

 Big Max blew into his umbrella.

He flew into the sky.

 

The whales blew a spout of water. 물줄기
