Chapter4. up the Hudson river

Abigail의 배가 지나가는 길에 Bristol이라는 큰 배가 나타나 길을 비켜주지 않는다. 만약 Abigail이 배를 멈추지 않는다면 그녀는 Bristol과 자신이 끌고가는 배 사이에 부딪힐것이다. 그래서 그녀는 배를 멈추라는 명령을 내린다. 그러나 물 속에서 움직이는 배를 멈추기란 쉽지 않았다. 그래서 그녀는 배가 뒤로 움직이게 한다. 배가 멈추자 Bristol은 Abigail 앞을 지나갔다. 그러나 뒤쫓아오는 배는 계속해서 앞으로 다가오고 있었다. 그래서 그녀는 다시 엔진을 멈추고 이번에는 다시 앞으로 배가 나아가게 했다. 그리고 그녀는 가까스로 를 피해 방향을 전환할 수 있었다.

Suddenly a huge ship, the Bristol, appeared. She was moving right across the Neptune’s bow.

Unless she turned the Neptune away from the pier and into the middle of the river, the Peekskill and the Neptune would collide.
