Still whining about chips, Mona followed her mother inside.

Mona went to toss it in her jewellery box with all the other necklaces she never wore, but she couldn't undo the clasp.
but it wouldn't budge.

Shrieking with joy, she ran downstairs to thank her mother.
"What are you on about? What things?"

It wasn't until she was getting ready for bed that Mona remembered she was still wearing the necklace.
The necklace would give her anything she wanted.

Mona mumbled over and over in her sleep.

"I want to get out... I want to get out..." chanted Mona in desperation.

Her mother was right outside the door, which she couldn't open because the Wendy house was in the way.
Wendy house:
"But I don't want anything!" wailed Mona. "I just want to go with you!" And she tugged on the necklace with such force that it broke and flew into the air.
It had all been a horrid dream.
Just in case, Mona was going to be very careful what she asked for in future.
