"Charlie needs a cloak"

I have read a book titled, "Charlie needs a cloak". As his cloak was too old, he needed a new cloak. In order to make a new red cloak, he prepared through the year. He sheared his sheep in the spring; He picked some pokeweed berries which is needed for dying during the summer; He wove the yarn into cloth during the fall. He finally had a beautiful new red cloak when winter came. This book was useful to me in two ways. First, I learned the process of making the winter cloth and the vocabularies for making the wool cloth. Second, this book made me think about goal-setting and the diligence. Chalie had worked through the year in order to get a new cloak. I think the author wanted to tell the readers that "Set your long-term goal, and then keep working for it." So my question is "What is my long-term goal? And What am I doing for the goal". I would like to ask you to the same question.
