• Mrs Khan: 주인공의 학교 선생님으로 오래전에 Patch Pat이라는 인형을 만들었다. 그녀는 매주 번갈아가며 아이들에게 Patch Pat을 빌려준다. 아이들은 월요일날 주말 동안에 Patch Pat과 무엇을 했는지 발표하게 된다.
• Patch Pat: Mrs Khan이 소유하고 있는 인형이다. 아이들은 이 인형을 번갈아가며 주말에 집에 가지고 간다. 
• Jimmy: 이번 주에 Patch Pat을 가지고 간 학생.
• Chelsea: Jimmy와 함께 Nottingham에 놀러가는 그의 여동생.

Jimmy는 Patch Pat을 데리고 가족과 함께 Nottingham에 도착했다.

Mrs Khan knitted him for us a long time ago - and she is so clever that if Patchy gets a little hole she knits another patch to cover it.

관광 도중에 아이들은 Patch Pat이 가방에 없다는 사실을 깨닫는다. 이들은 아버지와 함께 지금까지 걸어온 길을 되돌아 간다. 그리고 자신들이 갔던 카페에서 Patch Pat을 발견하고 기뻐한다.

 

We went in the lift up to the Robin Hood center. Dad paid for us to go in, then a man dressed as an outlaw took us to the costume room.

 

The man lifted a bar down onto our laps and we moved along into a dark tunnel.

 

They're going to ask for your help.

 

What will Mrs Khan say? Nobody has ever lost Patchy Pat.

 

"Now when do you remember seeing him last?"

 

We'll retrace our steps back to the station.
