책 표지만 보면 Gruggalo가 주인공인듯 하지만, 책을 읽어보면 The Gruggalo’s child를 따돌리는 A little mouse가 진짜 주인공임을 알 수 있다. 역시 세상을 살아가려면 지혜로워야 한다.

 

The Gruggalo said that no gruggalo should ever set foot in the deep dark wood.

He beckoned, the said, “Just wait and see.”

The Gruffalo’s Child unclenched her fist.

*unclench 펴다

 

He carries a nut as big as boulder!
